All Roads Lead to Rome - Day 1

After two days just hanging out in Rome, today marked the start of this inaugural alumni tour which is based in Rome for the week.

After breakfast, we walked to Top Bike Rental and Tours to be fitted with bikes and then set off in two groups for the City Center Tour. I joined Emanuele's group and Edna went with Bruno.

We had many stops through the tour with Emanuele giving us the lowdown on the major sites in central Rome including the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and sundry famous ruins and monuments. One of the highlights was visiting the Pantheon and getting TDA founder Henry Gold reacquainted with a friendly elephant :)

Coffee at one bar near the Pantheon and pizza at a famous forno in the Campo dei Fiori were the food highlights to be followed much later by a nice dinner at a restaurant in Piazza Navona.

Here's a selection of photos.
