October 23. City Center, 4-5 hours

Going from the ancient monuments to the elegant shopping streets, from the Baroque squares to Renaissance palaces, from the Churches housing art masterpieces to beautiful fountains. An itinerary which "touches on" the main attractions of Rome, without omitting working-class alleys, small hidden squares, places that are less known but associated with many historical events which give this city its unique atmosphere.

We’ll stop as well to taste original Italian coffee and ice cream! And of course you can see the Pantheon.

Dinner included in Roman Trattoria

October 24. Ceri - Cerveteri, 8-9 hours

After about an hour by train we will cycle through the countryside of Lazio in the area between the Lake of Bracciano and the Tyrrhenian Sea. A tour of remarkable historical-archaeological interest with some exciting dives into the past.

A 9-hour tour, including a lunch in the medieval village of Ceri, complete with a panoramic view of the valley and surrounding mountains. Afterwards we bike on and to visit the Etruscan Necropolis in Cerveteri, the largest ancient necropolis of the entire Mediterranean area, dating back to the 7th century B.C. From Cerveteri we will take a train back to Rome.

Entrance to Etruscan Necropolis is included

October 25. Panoramic Rome, 6 hours

Aventine Hill, Janiculum Hill and Capitoline Hill offer the best panoramic views of the city. By cycling to the top of these famous hills we’ll see the most important monuments of Rome from a birds’ eye view.

We’ll also see well-known monuments like the Coliseum and the Roman Forums from different perspectives, and capture the most evocative and unusual views.

October 26. Tour to Civita di Bagnoregio & Orvieto, 15 hours

After about an hour's journey by train we will proceed by bike along the Tiber Valley in the Nature Reserve in Alviano and then go all the way up to delightful Civita di Bagnoregio. This is what's known as "the dying town". It is one of the most beautiful medieval villages in Italy and sits atop a plateau of rock that is connected to the rest of the world by just a narrow bridge that can be crossed on foot or by bike. Lastly we will visit Orvieto, a city that is famous not just for its impressive cathedral but also for its all-Italian beauty and mysterious charm. ...An amalgam of natural, artistic and historical beauty with breath taking landscapes. In the evening we will take a train back to Rome.

Dinner included in the North of Lazio. Also Entrance to the Cathedral of Orvieto is included.

October 27. Unusual Rome, 5 hours

Besides the highlights of tourist Rome, there is a whole part of the city that’s known just to the Romans themselves and that hides beauties, stories and legends no guide book ever talks about: narrow streets with little shops and old people sitting outside chatting with each other, the favorite squares and fountains of the local people, secret gardens, archeological remains and panoramic views unknown to most tourists.

Coming along with us on this Unusual Rome tour means experiencing why Rome is called “the Eternal City”, with new surprises on every corner.

October 28.  Appian Way, 6 hours

Pedaling out of Rome on a 2,300 year-old cobblestone we’ll pass an ancient sepulcher, a Roman statue, the ruins of a circus and an imperial palace.

Leaving the "Regina viarum" we’ll head towards the ancient Roman aqueducts that rise over the fields into the horizon and follow them on their way to Rome; going through the Caffarella Park, a preserved strip of land of the Roman countryside that so well impressed the 19th century travelers such as Byron, Goethe and Stendhal.

A journey into a unique environment, in which miraculously intact nature, free from modernization, forms a backdrop to the continuous passage of historical, cultural and artistic events.

Dinner included in Roman Trattoria. Entrance for Catacombs included.
