Cuba Cross Over 2014 - Varadero | Thursday, March 6 - 0km

Today there is no bicycle tour on our itinerary. You can either choose a quiet beach area to relax, or you may go for a walk to explore Varadero with its various restaurants, bars, clubs and shopping malls. Accommodation at the all inclusive Hotel Sol Sirena Coral. (all inclusive) - Trip Notes

  

After a light buffet breakfast I caught the Hop On Hop Off bus into downtown Varadero and changed some money. Not much to see other than the flea market containing the usual souvenirs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 I took the bus back to the hotel, sunbaked by the pool and had paella for lunch followed by icecream.

 

 

 

After a little more sun by the pool, with dark clouds gathering, I retired to my room to watch CNN and take a nap before dinner at 730. The rain had set in but we managed to get a sheltered group table outside for the Group photo.Nothing much of interest on the buffet so I settled for some calamari, a little rigatoni and ice cream desert! Well, it was a rest day..
