From Cobá you’ll keep going to Tulúm. On the way, you can stop at the Gran Cenote to take a refreshing bath. Accommodation at Hotel OM in Tulúm. - Trip Notes |
I awarded
this morning’s fruit plate at the Hotelita Sac Be first prize for presentation
and the inaugural “Golden Nuts” trophy.
We checked out and vanned to the Gran Cenote where Slavica and Luis took a dip. This cenote connects with quite a number of others and is popular with divers.
As my cold
was still bothering me, I rode in the van while the others biked the 14km or so
into Tulum, stopping along the way at Chedraui, the Mexican equivalent of Costco, to pick
up supplies.
At around 4pm Slavica and I rode back to the small shopping strip for a look around and a spot of shopping.
After a shower and rest at the Hotel Om, we all went by van the Pura Carazon restaurant to meet up with Dalia Granot and her boyfriend Ben to listen to live music and to have dinner. The service was very slow but eventually my Sopa da Lima Yucatan style appeared. No shredded chicken and lots of vegetables..
The before shot = soup in the jug |
