I woke up at 4am to severe thunderstorms and poring rain and decided to take a day in the van, although the weather had cleared up by 9am which was the delayed start time for today's 93km ride.
It turned out to be a pleasant day and reasonably flat so the lead cyclists had no difficulty out pacing the vans through the heavy traffic.
Etna was visible in all her glory today!
