It was going to be a "short" day of 52.5km with lunch at 40.5km so we had a late check out and started riding just after 10am. But, of course, there was a massive hill from 30.5km which Edna and I struggled up and we prevailed on Ozgur to come pick us up around 37km for a quick lunch stop and a van ride down the big hill to the hotel. The scenery was great!
I'm definitely not built for climbing and today reinforced the need to drop some weight and get fit for the next TDA in May next year!
Marina di Camerota is a nice little town with six or seven gelateria, some of which I sampled. The standouts were banana and passionfruit!
Dinner at the hotel was reasonable.
