All roads do lead to Rome! Cycle Southern Italy, Corsica, Sardinia and Sicily 14 September 2019 - 22 October 2019 |

Let's just say the best thing about today's ride was the 1.5km downhill cycle to the ferry and the 1 hour ferry trip... :)
I have not yet got the strength to start the day with climbs so Edna and I took the van from the port to about the 19.6km mark with the intention to at least make it to lunch, which we did.
As you can see from the elevations, there were some steep climbs leading up to lunch at 42.6km and we did a fair bit of walking, which only exacerbates my back problem. By 12.30pm, the sun was beating down and the balance of the ride looked uninviting.
We were joined in the van at lunch by our fellow Member of the Tribe Eli. Edna and I both had a nap at the lunch spot before a pleasant 45km lift to the hotel at Porto San Paolo where we are tonight celebrating the eve of the Jewish New Year!
