Cuba Havana En Vivo Salsa Tour 2014 - Cemetery Cristobal Colon | Tuesday, March 11

Once you have finished your dancing lessons in the morning, your tour guide will take you to the Cemetery Cristobal Colon considered by its extension one of the largest in the world. There you will discover a unique variety of sculptural and architectural exponents erected for more than a century with an amazing diversity of styles. A visit to the Plaza de la Revolución will take place this afternoon, symbol of the Cuban revolution and, since 1959, scene of relevant events and demonstrations. You will return to the hotel and the evening is free at your disposal. (breakfast)- Trip Notes

Yorelis very cleverly rolled today's proposed post-dance activities into yesterday so she had a day off and we had the day to ourselves.

After a light breakfast, we rode the Sprachcaffe Express to the studio for our dance lesson. Lady had a late night so she was a little easy on me today.

After class, Stephan and I caught a cab to Vedado and wandered around. we stopped for lunch at a government restaurant. I had the chicken sandwich. We then walked to the Malecon and Hotel Nacional de Cuba where we stopped for a look around the gallery.

We continued our walk around Vedado and visited two synagogues and the holocaust museum. For a detailed account please check my Kiss My Torah blog: AUSSIE TORAH BLOG

After taking a shared cab back to the hotel, I treated myself to ice cream and a nap. Later, I wandered out for pizza and piñita for dinner, with a couple of cans to take back to the room.
