After a
good rest in Venice, we set off into the
unknown in fine conditions which would turn to scorching as the day progressed.
Fortunately, the terrain was mostly flat and the pace was good.
Prize
for best flagging of the route today goes to Cristiano for this one:
The
usual array of churches and fields along the way until we arrived at
Agriturismo Laflorida where it was unbearably hot. I was one of the first in
and decided to appropriate a shelter for the duration of my stay rather than
pitch a tent. It worked out reasonably well.
Some
musician friends of Gergo who perform under the name “Matana” arrived for
dinner and treated us to a concert
before departing around 9pm for a gig nearby.
Check this link for some videos etc:
I managed
to get some sleep on the tables but was pretty drained by the heat..
