Orient Express Day 19 "Das Boat" - Passau to Linz

So it was on the twenty third day of June that Stirling the Strong led the wounded of the Company to safety by sea as the Main Body rode overland across the Teutonic borders from Passau to Linz.

With Stirling that morning were John the Lame, Alf the African, with the lovely Evlyn, and Edna the Irrigator. They embarked their iron steeds upon the SS Walhalla accompanied by several score of simple Teuton country folk and a fearsome foursome of Trolls.

Three times the Walhalla was swallowed by a mighty schluss to be spat out on the lower reaches of the Donau.

Mid journey the Trolls confronted our wounded Company but were subdued by Stirling in the deadly snuff toking competition.

Merrily did the journey go, fortified by lashings of schnitzel. pils, weissbeer, Bavarian brandy, Toblerone and mountains of apfel strudel.

Nearby Linz, the party were spotted by Lusty Leana and Doubtful David from the shore and reunited with great celebration dockside.
