Trans Oceania 2014 - Glendambo to Woomera | Monday, November 17 - 120km

We awoke to a glorious sunrise and my Alaris slept well overnight with Doug and his bike. My back was still a little sore so I decided to ride the van today.
The lunch spot was at Lake Hart which is a dry salt lake.I walked down for a look see and the TDA food crew had fun after lunch was set up and before the riders rolled in.

Thanks to Andreas for this pic and the one below

We had a visit from a hip hop Christian singer en route to Alice Springs and then the riders started arriving and took their turn on the salt. Lunch was a protracted affair. Great fun was had by all.

Doug was last back after packing up from lunch and we then set off to a viewing stop and then on to Woomera, stopping to allow an emu and baby to cross the road.

I rented a basic cabin for the night with bunk beds for John and then biked around Woomera to check out the sights.

After an afternoon nap, I wandered down to the campsite and enjoyed a dinner of barbecued chicken on rice.

It is certainly an interesting campsite! Looking forward to a good night's sleep.
