Trans Oceania 2014 - Middle of Nowhere to Cadney Homestead | Wednesday, November 12 - 134km

Today's route notes with words of encouragement from Andreas:
Note the translation of our rest stop to "Middle of Nowhere"!

I made my standard decision to ride from lunch but enjoyed a light breakfast watching the sun rise before departing in the lunch van.

First stop before lunch was at Marla to get supplies and rejoin those who had ridden ahead yesterday. They all looked very pleased with themselves having spent the night in air conditioned comfort. I found the sign above the urinal of interest...

From the lunch spot it was a 47km to our roadhouse camp spot which I managed OK.

Once at camp I set up the tent and patched a hole in the mattress directly under the pump hoping that would fix the problem - it did in part but there is still a slow leak somewhere which will take a clean pool to find. The one at Cadney is green..

I heasded to the pub for refreshments and a hot dog for lunch. There was some interesting artwork on the back of the toilet door..

Mark made a very nice goulash for dinner with a huge pot of mashed potatoes with broccoli on the side. Eric certainly enjoyed his meal!

After dinner Gerald screened "Chef" in David Jones' room after which we retired for the night to our rooms or tents.
